{hometown fun}

It's always so nice when friends from out of town come to visit, because you get to do fun touristy stuff you don't normally do otherwise. & that's exactly what we did today!

Dylan's friend Greta came to visit & we planned an exciting, history-filled Philly day for her.  Our first stop was Jones, where we had a delicious lunch. I'd never been before, but I can't wait to go back! All three of us saw it as an upscale diner :) Breakfast all.day long.  The menu was fun, & the decor was both groovy & modern.

After lunch, we walked around Independence Mall & checked out some gift shops. The line for the Liberty Bell was really long, so we just headed to the National Constitution Center.

There was a random Bruce Springsteen exhibit going on, but we didn't walk through it.

We did make some new friends though:

& signed a Declaration of our own.

We also had to say something we believe in/want to see in six words or less...& both mine & Dyl's made it at the top!

Once we walked through the entire museum & finished watching a show, we headed back home. But not for long! I'd heard about a light show at an outdoor garden so we went to check it out. My photos are all terrible because I'm not great at photographing in the dark, but the lights were pretty spectacular...as was the fountain show!

We got home around 10:30 & were EXHAUSTED. We're headed to the beach later today for some much-needed R&R :)

Happy weekend!
